In this page you will find photos of but only a few of the thousands of the country's moth species.
It is merely to portray and show the differences, great varieties, and the beautiful wing markings and patterns of moths.
As mentioned in the moths of malaysia webpage, moths are Insects, and there are two sub-orders, the Macrolepidoptera (larger moths) and the Microlepidoptera (small or tiny moths).
The tiny or micro ones, especially, are sometimes quite hard to identify, as some of them may visually look very similar.
We will need specialists on moths and keen "mothers" (or rather, moth'ers) to do a very close examination and observation to be able to correctly identify them.
Anyway, for the rest of us nature-lovers, moths are wonderful creatures of God, and this gallery hopes to portray the differences and their exquisite beauty.
